Sołectwo Żarów z pewnością zapamięta datę 22 czerwca 2022 r. Tego dnia podpisana została umowa, w ramach której Powiat Brzeski i Powiat Nyski zrealizują budowę drogi do Żarowa.
Powiat Brzeski pozyskał na ten cel ponad 220 tys. zł dofinansowania z Rządowego Funduszu Rozwoju Dróg, co stanowi około 70% wartości inwestycji. Powiat Nyski i Gmina Grodków dołożą się do inwestycji, by wreszcie umożliwić mieszkańcom bezpieczny dojazd do pracy czy szkoły.
Wykonawcą robót będzie Przedsiębiorstwo Robót Drogowo-Mostowych z Brzegu. Prace obejmują nową nawierzchnię z mieszanki bitumicznej na odcinku 2,5 km o szerokości od 3,5 do 5 m oraz wykonanie obustronnych poboczy i wykonanie zjazdów.
