11 lipca policjanci z brzeskiej drogówki przeprowadzili działania skierowane na bezpieczeństwo niechronionych uczestników ruchu drogowego. Ich głównym celem było zwrócenie uwagi wszystkich użytkowników dróg na bezpieczeństwo pieszych i rowerzystów. W sezonie letnim na drodze oprócz rowerzystów spotykamy również osoby korzystające z hulajnóg i jeżdżące na rolkach. Policjanci przyglądali się wzajemnym relacjom niechronionych i kierowców samochodów.

Policjanci ujawnili ponad 40 wykroczeń. To przede wszystkim wykroczenia popełniane przez niechronionych użytkowników dróg. Piesi naruszyli przepisy w 24 przypadkach – to najczęściej przechodzenie przez jezdnię w niedozwolonym miejscu, przechodzenie przez przejście na czerwonym świetle i korzystanie z telefonu komórkowego na przejściu. Rowerzyści natomiast 13 razy złamali prawo. Ich przewinienia dotyczą na ogół jazdy po chodniku. Kilku kierowców również naruszyło prawa pieszych. Najczęściej jest to nieustąpienie pierwszeństwa pieszym na przejściu.

Przypominamy, że to właśnie wykroczenia związane z bezpieczeństwem pieszych podlegają pod warunki recydywy. Teraz osoby, które nie zachowały się prawidłowo wobec pieszych, np. nie ustąpiły im pierwszeństwa, przez 2 lata muszą liczyć się z dwukrotnie wyższymi kwotami mandatów, jeśli znów popełnią to samo wykroczenie.

Pamiętajmy, bezpieczny ruch drogowy to gra zespołowa. Każdy z nas ma na nią wpływ, a przestrzegając przepisów i wzajemny szacunek są tutaj niezbędne.
