O tym, że warto połączyć powiatową lecznicę z ulicą Łokietka, mówi się w Brzegu od bez mała dwóch dekad. Pomysły były, chęci być może też, ale do realizacji tego zadania nie doszło… aż do teraz.

Nowa droga pozwoli zaoszczędzić kilka bezcennych minut.
– To jest bardzo dobra inwestycja, o której mówiło się przecież od bardzo dawna. Będziemy teraz mieli dwie alternatywne drogi dojazdu do szpitala. Jadąc od strony Opola, będzie można zaoszczędzić kilka minut, omijając ruchliwe skrzyżowanie, co jest oczywiście bardzo ważne w przypadku ratowania zdrowia i życia pacjentów – mówi Mariusz Baran, kierownik pogotowia ratunkowego w Brzegu.
Dotychczas karetki jadące ze wschodniej i południowej części miasta musiały niejednokrotnie przebijać się przez zakorkowane skrzyżowanie przy głównym budynku poczty. Później trzeba jeszcze przejechać przez Powstańców Śląskich i całą, niezbyt długą, ale wąską, ulicę Mossora.
Drugie rozwiązanie to przejazd bardzo wąską ulicą łączącą Łokietka z Ofiar Katynia, a następnie rondo i wjazd w Powstańców Śląskich, która jest ulicą jednokierunkową. Oczywiście karetka pogotowia na sygnale to pojazd uprzywilejowany, ale nawet w tym przypadku jazda pod prąd zawsze łączy się z ryzykiem.
Wkrótce problem z dojazdem do brzeskiego szpitala zostanie rozwiązany. Nowy droga łącząca BCM z ulicą Łokietka pozwoli zaoszczędzić nawet kilka minut, a te mogą niekiedy okazać się kluczowe.
Brak parkingu dla korzystających z usług BCM oraz odwiedzających chorych. Obecny jest za mały i ciągle brakuje miejsc
W Brzegu to jeszcze pikuś bo za szpitalem często się gdzieś wciśniesz a jak nie to w niedalekiej odległości od szpitala jest gdzie postawić samochód o ile pod nim samym miejsca brak. Pojedź np. Do Opola czy Wrocławia tam dopiero będziesz marudził…
