W październiku, jak co roku, w powiecie brzeskim odbywają się Dni Kultury Kresowej.
W sobotę w Brzeskim Centrum Kultury można było wysłuchać ciekawych informacji o tematyce kresowej oraz obejrzeć film pt. „30-lecie Sztandaru”. Kolejnym punktem uroczystości był koncert Jana Sowy oraz Anety Staniszewskiej.
W obchodach udział wzięli m.in. starosta brzeski Jacek Monkiewicz, wicestarosta Ewa Smolińska, kresowiacy z rodzinami, sympatycy oraz zaproszeni goście.
Nad całością czuwała Prezes Towarzystwa Miłośników Lwowa i Kresów Południowo-Wschodnich Alicja Heflich.
W drugim dniu obchodów (22 października) w kościele pw. Podwyższenia Krzyża Świętego w Brzegu odprawiona została uroczysta msza św. w intencji wszystkich kresowiaków.
