Policjanci z Brzegu zatrzymali 22-letniego kierowcę busa. Mężczyzna potrącił prawidłowo jadącego rowerzystę, nie zatrzymał się i uciekł z miejsca wypadku. Poszkodowany z licznymi obrażeniami ciała trafił do szpitala. Podejrzany w tej sprawie usłyszał już zarzuty, do których się przyznał. Za takie przestępstwo grozi kara do 3 lat więzienia.

Policjanci z Brzegu zatrzymali mężczyznę podejrzanego o spowodowanie wypadku. Do tego zdarzenia doszło pod koniec lutego tego roku. Wówczas na drodze krajowej nr 39, między zjazdem na Mąkoszyce a Lubszą, doszło do potrącenia rowerzysty. Z ustaleń policjantów pracujących na miejscu wynikało, że kierujący dostawczym busem, jadąc w kierunku Lubszy, zjechał do krawędzi jezdni i potrącił prawidłowo jadącego 50-letniego rowerzystę. Poszkodowany z obrażeniami ciała trafił do szpitala, natomiast kierujący busem nie zatrzymał się i odjechał z miejsca.

Policjanci wykonali oględziny i zabezpieczyli ślady. Przez kolejne tygodnie wykonali szereg czynności procesowych, między innymi przesłuchali świadków zdarzenia i poszkodowanego. Sprawdzali każdy sygnał mogący doprowadzić ich na trop kierowcy, który uciekł z miejsca wypadku. Zebrane materiały pozwoliły na ustalenie marki pojazdu i tożsamości mężczyzny.

24 czerwca policjanci zatrzymali 22-letniego kierowcę renault master. Mężczyzna usłyszał zarzut spowodowania wypadku i ucieczki z miejsca zdarzenia. Za takie przestępstwo grozi kara nawet do 3 lat pozbawienia wolności.
