Sobotni mecz nie przyniósł niespodzianki. Grodkowianie nie przegrali w tej rundzie ani jednego meczu na swoim terenie i tym razem również twierdza Grodków nie została zdobyta. Naszym szczypiornistom wprawdzie przyszło mierzyć się z liderem, jednak był to lider tylko z nazwy, bo zespół ze Swarzędza zajmuje ostatnie miejsce w tabeli.
Pierwsza połowa była co prawda niezbyt udana w wykonaniu gospodarzy, którzy popełnili kilka błędów, co skwapliwie wykorzystywali rywale. Już w 1. minucie spotkania Olimp objął prowadzenie po celnym rzucie Żubrowskiego, jednak chwilę później goście rzucili dwie bramki. Tak z grubsza wyglądała pierwsza połowa. Jeden zespół zdobywał minimalną przewagę, a potem ją tracił. Nie udało się jednak żadnej drużynie odskoczyć więcej niż o jeden punkt. Ostatecznie pierwsza połowa zakończyła się remisem 18:18.
Początek drugiej połowy wyglądał podobnie. Gospodarze zdobyli przewagę, a chwilę później goście wyrównali. W końcu sytuacja zaczęła się klarować na korzyść grodkowian. Przy remisie 21:21 celnym rzutem popisał się Ziemiński, a chwilę później trafili Turkowski i Kolanko, w rezultacie w 39. minucie spotkania Olimp prowadził już trzema punktami (24:21). Od tej chwili przewaga grodkowian była coraz bardziej wyraźna. To oni kontrolowali mecz, a kontry ich rywali były coraz mniej skuteczne. Ostatecznie mecz zakończył się wygraną Olimpu 42:35.
Można było się spodziewać, że ta różnica będzie większa, w końcu spotkały się drużyny z przeciwległych krańców tabeli. Olimp jest na drugim miejscu, podczas gdy Lider Swarzędz zajmuje czternastą pozycję. Jednak swarzędzanie już kilka razy pokazali, że potrafią zawalczyć i choć na dziesięć rozegranych w tym sezonie meczów przegrali dziewięć, jednak były to porażki o włos.
Najwięcej bramek dla Olimpu zdobył Jakub Migoń, który trafił do bramki 11 razy. Niekwestionowanym królem strzelców był jednak w tym meczu Filip Stachowiak ze Swarzędza – zdobył 17 bramek. W trakcie meczu grodkowianie na trzy rzuty karne wykorzystali dwa, a ich rywale wykorzystali sześć rzutów karnych na siedem podyktowanych. Arbiter spotkania często odsyłał zawodników na ławkę. W trakcie całego meczu zawodnicy Olimpu siedmiokrotnie otrzymali karę dwóch minut, a ich goście cztery razy.
